Frequently Asked Questions

Got Questions?

Everything you need to know before booking. Don't see your question? Just reach out, I'm happy to help.

How do I get started?
The easiest way is to book a free in-home estimate directly on this site, just pick a time that works for you and I'll come to you. If you'd rather talk first, you can call or text me directly. Either way, there's no obligation and no pressure. We'll figure out what you need and go from there.
Do you work on weekends?
Yes, I know most people work during the week, so I offer Saturday appointments for estimates and select jobs. Sunday availability varies depending on the week. When you book online you'll see my live availability, including weekends, so you can pick whatever time works best for your schedule.
What areas do you serve?
I'm based in Glen Rock and serve most of Bergen County, including Ridgewood, Wyckoff, Waldwick, Paramus, Fair Lawn, Hawthorne, Franklin Lakes, and surrounding towns. Not sure if you're in my service area? Reach out and ask, if I can get to you, I will.
Can I supply my own materials, or do you handle that?
Both, it's completely up to you. Some homeowners already have fixtures, materials, or products picked out, and I'm happy to work with what you have. If you'd rather I source everything, I can handle that too. Either way, materials are always itemized separately from labor so you know exactly what you're paying for.
How do you handle pricing, are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees, ever. Before any work starts you'll have a written estimate with labor and materials broken out line by line. If something unexpected comes up during a job, which happens occasionally in older homes, I'll stop, explain what I found, and get your approval before moving forward. You're never on the hook for anything you didn't agree to.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. I'm fully licensed and insured, and I carry liability coverage on every job. You should always ask this question before letting anyone work on your home, and any contractor worth hiring should be able to answer it without hesitation.
How far in advance do I need to book?
For most jobs I ask for at least 48 hours notice so I can come prepared with the right tools and materials. For larger projects or bundle packages, booking a week or two out gives you the best shot at getting your preferred date. That said, if something urgent comes up give me a call, I'll do my best to fit you in.
What happens if I'm not happy with the work?
I stand behind everything I do. Every job comes with a 1-year labor warranty, and if something doesn't look or feel right within the first 7 days I'll come back and make it right, no questions asked. My reputation in this community matters more to me than any single job, and I want every client to feel confident recommending me to their neighbors.
